Principle Space is located in the heart of North Lawndale’s business district. Bobby Price, owner of Principle Barbers and Visual Artists, created a place for not only men’s haircuts and shop talks but an environment for community and meaningful events.

Hourly Rate:

(3 hour min booking)
5 Hour Discount 10%
Non-Profit Discount 10%
Rental includes 30 mins for set-up and 30 mins for clean up
$200 deposit due with contract

Overtime: Overtime will be billed in half-hour increments. The space must be vacated and all items brought into the space must be removed within 30 minutes of your booking time. (overtime fee - $62 per half hour)

Cleaning / Damages: Guests are expected to leave the space in same condition they found it in. You should factor in set up and clean up time into booking time. No screws nails or tape are to be put on the walls. No confetti, glitter or silly string. Damages will be charged to the credit card on file.

Furniture: Please let us know in advance if you want furniture to be moved or removed from the space. Moving fee for furniture is $50 for furniture moved within space and $125 for furniture moved out of space. The DJ Table, Stage, Barber Chairs and Ping Pong table cannot be removed from the space. All other items can be moved within space or removed for the additional charge.

Not Included in Rental: Basement is off limits as well as rooftop and stairs in the backyard. DJ set is not for use.

How do I book the space?

Do you have a PA system and mics for speeches?
No, but you are free to bring your own. We have Sonos speakers you can connect to for music.

Is there a noise policy?
Please inform us if you are having live music. Please turn the music to room level sound by the end of the event reserved time.

Do we have to clean up following the event?
We have a cleaning crew come in after your event but we require that you take all of your personal belongings and have all your vendors clean up before we send our cleaning crew in.

Can we bring vendors, food and catering?
Yes! You are free to bring in your own food and catering for events.

Can I decorate the space?
Yes! We want you to customize the space to be what you want it to be. We only ask that you leave it as you found it. If you do decide to utilize the walls by hanging things or for decoration purposes, we require that you talk to us.

Where can we park?
Free street parking on Ogden avenue service drive. All Lawndale Christian parking lots next to Principle Barber shop are free.

Is there a liquor policy?
People must be 21 years or older to be served alcohol. No liquor sales (cash bar) - Unless done by a licensed catering company with a liquor license. Please don’t over-serve your guests! Venue manager has discretion to cut someone off if they are over-served.
